EMERGENCY ALERT LEVELS
LEVEL ONE ALERT
Teachers are advised that a situation of concern is ongoing and, though normal activity within the school will continue uninterrupted, students and/or faculty unless leaving school grounds will not be allowed outside the building until an all clear is announced by school personnel.
LEVEL TWO ALERT
Teachers are advised that a situation of grave concern is ongoing and teachers are required to lock their classroom doors securing themselves and their students inside the classroom. Normal classroom activities may continue but no one is to be dismissed from the classroom until the all clear is given by school personnel.
LEVEL THREE ALERT (LOCKDOWN)
Teachers are advised that an emergency exists requiring full alert. Classroom doors are to be locked- securing teachers and students safely within their classrooms. In addition, lights are to be turned off and students are to be kept away from windows and doors. If possible, window blinds should be shut! If students are to be evacuated from the building, they will be directed by school or law enforcement personnel.
