Dear Parents:

The meal prices for 2012-2013 are as follows:

Elementary Lunch: $2.00, Middle and High School Lunch: $2.25, Adult Lunch: $2.75, Student Breakfast $1.25, Adult Breakfast $1.50 and Extra Milk: $.50.

Family Meal Accounts are a computerized accounting system that tracks a family’s cafeteria purchases and payments. This system allows parents to conveniently make one pre-payment deposit for all their students within the MSD of Martinsville. Each student is assigned a personal PIN# that is used to record purchases and payments. This allows parents to easily track student transactions using Family Access.

All students and adults are expected to pay cash daily or pre-pay into their Family Meal Accounts. We accept checks and cash in our cafeterias and credit cards using family Family Access. In order to keep lunch line short we encourage pre-payment for the week, month or semester. If a family has money in the account at the end of the school year, these funds will roll-over to the next school year. If a family would like a refund please contact the Food Service Office.

The MSD of Martinsville Food Service Department uses School Messenger and letters sent home with the youngest family member to notify parents of account balances based on the schedule below.

Families will be notified via phone with an account balance of $10 or below

Families with a high school student will be notified via phone with an account balance of $5 or below

Families with an elementary or middle school student will receive a letter sent home with the youngest family member if the account balance is $5 or below

Families with an elementary or middle school student will receive a letter sent home with the youngest family member if the account balance is $5 or below

All families with a negative account balance will be notified via school School Messenger notifying them of the amount owed.

If you believe that your family will qualify for free or reduced lunch benefits, please fill out an application and return it to the school your child attends or you may send it directly to:                                           Food Services, P.O. Box 1416, Martinsville, IN 46151.

You may print out a copy of this application by clicking on the "Application" button at the top of this page.  Please be sure to fill the application out completely, including all signature spaces, so that we can process your application quickly.  Incomplete applications will be returned to you. 

Families who need financial assistance, may apply for meal and textbook assistance at any time during the school year.
