February 6, 2008
The 13th Annual Meeting of the Lake Lemon Conservancy District was held on February 6, 2008 at the Benton Township Senior Citizen’s Building and was called to order by Chairman Marty Mann at 6:05 p.m.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:
Marty Mann, Dave Hobson, Dennis Friesel, Rex Taylor, Barb Ritter, Bruce
Cassal, and Tom Kelly. ALSO
PRESENT: Bob Madden, Manager; Scott
McWhorter, Board Recorder; Rachel Atz, CBU Representative; and LLCD Freeholders
(see attached sign-in sheet).

Mann thanked all freeholders for attending the meeting.
II.
APPROVAL OF 12TH
ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES (Mann)

Approval of February
7, 2007 Annual Board Meeting Minutes.
CASSAL MOTIONED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 7, 2007 ANNUAL MINUTES. RITTER SECONDED THE MOTION. ALL “AYES.” MOTION CARRIED.
III. TREASURER’S ANNUAL REPORT (Friesel)
· Friesel presented a summary of revenue and expenses for 2007. (See attached)
· There was an increase in revenue this year from the sale of watercraft permits and park fees.
· LLCD has received all of the 2005 payable in 2006 taxes.
· LLCD currently has $81,100.01 in CD’s and $50,851.00 in the cumulative maintenance fund.
IV. MANAGERS ANNUAL REPORT (Madden)
· See attached 2007 Annual Report.
· 2007 Highlights:
o IDNR reported no boating accidents.
o LLCD received a $24,680 LARE grant for aquatic plant management.
o LLCD also received its third and final $100,000 LARE grant for dredging.
o LLCD finished its second year of dredging and removed 13,840 cubic yards of material from the reservoir.
o LLCD will continue to look for a second disposal site.
o LLCD spent $227,873.60 on the SRP program in 2007. See attached 2007 Final Dredging Financial Report.

V. PUBLIC COMMENT

Freeholder Gail Tala
would like to see a community focused newsletter, where residence can submit
articles and local businesses can advertise.

VII. ELECTION RESULTS

Marty Mann, District
III and Dennis Friesel, District V, were re-elected to a new four (4) year term
of office.
VIII. ELECTION OF 2008 BOARD OFFICERS
RITTER MOTIONED AND NOMINATED THE CURRENT THREE OFFICERS BE REELECTED FOR ANOTHER 1-YEAR TERM. SECONDED BY KELLY. ALL “AYES.” MOTION CARRIED.
· 2008 Board Officers are as follows:
o Marty Mann, Board Chairman; Dave Hobson, Board Vice-Chairman; and Dennis Friesel, Board Treasurer.
IX. ADJOURNMENT
KELLY MOTIONED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. CASSAL SECONDED THE MOTION. ALL “AYES.” MOTION CARRIED. MEETING ADJOURNED AT 7:10 P.M.
