Mid-State Conference

Martinsville High School begins its inaugural season as a full time member of the Mid-State Conference.  During the 2005-2006 school year, Martinsville High School participated as a part-time member in the Mid-State Conference, finishing its last year in Conference Indiana.  Martinsville was one of ten charter schools that comprised Conference Indiana in 1997.  Prior to Conference Indiana, Martinsville High School was a charter member of the South Central Conference, established in 1936

The basic reason for joining the Mid-State Conference is geographics; all schools in the Mid-State Conference are within 25 miles of Martinsville.  Six of the seven Mid-State schools, like Martinsville, have one school in one community.  The opportunity to renew and establish community rivalries is very exciting for our school, fans, and athletes.

While we wish the best of luck to the schools that remain in Conference Indiana, Martinsville High School looks forward to competing as a proud member of the Mid-State Conference.
