Student Success in the
Classroom
To be successful in the classroom, students must complete all of
the assigned class work and
homework. Completing all of the class work and homework in
all of the classes, not only will help them learn more while they
are at school, but completing class work and homework will also help
to instill basic values as a part of the student’s regular
schedule. Students will learn to be more responsible, they will
learn to be accountable for their work, and they will learn to
budget their time effectively. As educators, we are proactive in
helping the students to complete their class work and homework, so
that we can ultimately help to make them better students and
citizens. At West Middle School, each teacher has a different
homework policy for his/her class or subject area. All students are
being encouraged to complete all of the work that is assigned. We
believe that it is important that home and school work together to
motivate students in the right direction to complete all schoolwork.
