Drug Free Club New Members still being accepted!
The Drug Free Club is a very positive group. The ability to resist drugs and alcohol, as well as spreading the word of "saying no to drugs" is very rewarding. The Drug Free Club will decorate the school with drug free posters, pennants, and will sponsor a drug free dance in honor of Red Ribbon Week, a nationally recognized event. This year, Red Ribbon Week will be Tuesday October 27st - Friday, October 30th.
Tuesday, October 27 - Do the Red Day...Wear Red in celebration of being Drug Free! Wednesday, October 28 - Crazy Sock Day... Club members wear your shirt on this day! Thursday, October 29 - Do the Blue Day... (East/West volleyball)! Friday, October 30 - Drug-Free Sports Hero day...wear a sports jersey!
Future Meetings:
Dates are tentative; students should always listen to announcements in case there's a change in meeting dates. All meeting times are 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Other activities and programs will continue throughout the school year, with an emphasis on staying drug free. Our parents and community should be proud of these youths for their commitment to making our school a better place.
What is Red Ribbon Week? -a time for gratitude for all the lives that remain drug free -a time to pledge to live a safe and drug-free life -a time to remember those we have lost in the fight against drugs |
