DEALING WITH ANGER

We all get angry sometimes.  Some people, however seem to get angry a lot.  Sometimes people get so angry that they think they’re going to burst.  If you ever get so angry that you don’t know what to do, try one of the following:

·          Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and count to 10 (or 20 or 30).

·          Do something physical to get rid of the negative energy (take a walk, shoot baskets, kick a ball, lift weights, etc.)

·          Talk to a friend, parent, or counselor abot why you’re angry.

NO JEWELRY IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS

As stated in the West Middle School Agenda Book and the West

Middle School Parent/Student Handbook, for safety reasons, jewelry

is not to be worn by any student who is enrolled in physical education

class or by students who participate in athletics.  This safety rule

pertaining to jewelry includes, but is not limited to, pierced earrings,

finger rings, nose rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc.  All students are

expected to follow the safety rules.

 “Gremlins “.

Rated PG – Parents are encouraged to check the ratings of the movies and research the content of the movies before allowing your son to participate. This is a voluntary club!

Plot Outline:

Miniature green monsters tear through the small town of Kingston Falls. Hijinks ensue as a mild-mannered bank teller releases these hideous loonies after gaining a new pet and violating two of three simple rules: No water (violated), no food after midnight (violated), and no bright light. Hilarious mayhem and destruction in a town straight out of Norman Rockwell. So, when your washing machine blows up or your TV goes on the fritz, before you call the repair man, turn on all the lights and look under all the beds. ‘Cause you never can tell, there just might be a gremlin in your house.

You must sign up in advance in Mr. Lindsey’s office by the end of Period 7 the day of the movie.
