West Middle School Band

Band director: Mr. Scott Miller

Band is offered to any West Middle School student in all three grade levels. It is offered as a class during the entire school year. Students who participate in band are not scheduled into a general music class. Students select which instrument they would like to  play.  They have the option of renting or purchasing their instrument.  Summer band is offered in June especially for students in beginning band. A student may sign up for band anytime during middle school, although it is recommended that he/she begins as a sixth grader. 

Seventh and eighth grade band members have several performances during the year including: marching in the Fall Foliage Festival, Fall concert, a Christmas Concert, a spring concert, and music contests in January and February. Sixth graders participate in a spring concert with the rest of the band at the high school at the end of the year.

The Pep Band will play at all home football games.
